Supervision details

I offer clinical and professional supervision to qualified/trainee counsellors, and a wide range of helping professionals. I also work with individuals in senior and leadership roles who are navigating the emotional demands, responsibilities, and pressures of their work.

I have a particular interest in supporting counsellors at different stages of their professional journey. This includes trainees developing confidence and identity in practice, as well as qualified counsellors who are reflecting on complex client work, ethical decision-making, boundaries, and the longer-term impact of therapeutic work. I aim to provide a supervision space where counsellors feel supported, professionally held, and able to think deeply about their work.

I am passionate about supporting professionals not only to function in their roles, but to thrive within them. Much of my work focuses on sustainability in practice, helping to prevent burnout, and creating space to reflect on the emotional impact of work over time. I believe supervision should be a place of support, growth, and restoration - not just problem-solving.

My supervision style is reflective, relational, and collaborative. I aim to offer a psychologically safe, non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and honestly about your work, including the challenges, uncertainties, and complexities that may feel difficult to bring elsewhere. Many supervisees tell me they leave sessions feeling less alone, clearer in their thinking, and with practical insights or “nuggets” that support their ongoing development.

I work ethically and thoughtfully, remaining attentive to boundaries, power, responsibility, and self-care. I am invested in the development of those I supervise and will gently challenge where helpful, always within a compassionate and supportive framework.

I make strong use of the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, alongside a psychoeducational approach. This may include exploring theory, understanding communication and behaviour, and reflecting on relational dynamics within client work, professional systems, and the supervisory relationship itself. My aim is to support both reflective depth and practical confidence in practice.

Alongside supervising counsellors and trainees, I currently hold a large reflective supervision caseload with helping professionals and individuals working in senior business roles. This work often involves exploring leadership pressures, emotional labour, decision-making, and the impact of responsibility on wellbeing and professional identity.

I offer individual and group supervision in private practice. Sessions are available in person and online, with options for 60, 80, or 90-minute sessions. I am committed to creating a supervision space that feels safe, reflective, ethical, curious, honest, and compassionate.

If you are looking for supervision that supports your clinical work, professional development, and wellbeing, you are welcome to get in touch to explore whether working together feels like the right fit.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
