About me

🌱 Maybe you grew up in a world where emotions weren’t really talked about, where being different felt risky, and staying quiet felt like the safest thing to do.

I am a bilingual integrative psychotherapist, providing sessions in English, Cantonese or Mandarin. My aim is to gently support and help you feel more grounded in who you are, with more self-worth, more self-compassion, and less guilt when you take up space. You deserve to know your emotions matter, and that being different doesn’t make you unlovable.

Who I work with?

If you’re holding feelings you never had space for, such as ......

  • Carrying emotions they were never allowed to be named
  • Struggling with your identity, such as gender, sexuality or culture identity
  • Struggling with boundaries, especially with family
  • Feeling caught between cultures
  • Living with constant but quiet pressure
  • Longing to heal, without blame

or trying to make sense of who you are while balancing family expectations, you’re not alone.

I work with people exploring their cultural, racial, or sexual identity — especially those from Southeast Asian backgrounds who are learning to balance honoring their family with staying true to themselves.

What my clients can get?

An LGBTQIA+ and Culturally Sensitive Space to Talk

Our work isn’t about blaming anyone. In our sessions, you don’t have to be afraid of being judged. Together, we gently look at how past experiences shape the patterns in your adult life. It’s not about blaming parents or families — I believe most did the best they could. Instead, therapy is a chance to notice those patterns, realise you now have choices, and begin taking responsibility for how you want to live.

Clients often tell me they feel lighter after being truly seen and accepted — even when they’ve shared something they thought was “too much.” I create a space where every feeling is welcome — and when the way forward feels unclear, I help shine a light without taking away your choice. My background growing up in Hong Kong helps me understand the weight of silence, responsibility, and cultural pressure. I know how easy it is to absorb others’ emotions until you lose sight of your own voice — and how powerful it feels to find it again.

What integrative therapy mean?

  • client-led approach
  • combine different therapeutic theories and technique to tailor the process to your unique needs
  • emphasis on therapeutic alliance

In my practice, I draw from person-centred, attachment, and humanistic theories. This blend helps us explore your past, understand how it has shaped you, and recognise how those patterns show up in your adult life.

If this speaks to you, I’d really welcome the chance to connect.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

🌱 How Therapy Works

Therapy offers a calm and caring space where you can slow down, breathe, and begin to explore what’s going on beneath the surface.

It’s a space to:

  • Gently explore your feelings, even the ones that feel confusing or heavy
  • Pause and reconnect with yourself
  • Reflect on what you’ve been carrying, and perhaps begin to let some of it go
  • Ask meaningful questions about your life, relationships, and sense of direction
  • Discover your values, strengths, and inner resources
  • Make sense of past experiences, and how they may still be shaping your present

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. The process is unique to you, and how long it lasts depends on what you’d like to focus on.
